Blood Youth Return With New Single And Music Video, “Starve”

Debuting on the BBC Radio One Rock Show over the weekend, Blood Youth return with new song “Starve”, just ahead of their performance at Reading & Leeds festivals this weekend.

Their first new material since last year’s critically acclaimed debut album “Beyond Repair”, “Starve” sees the hardcore quartet at their darkest, opening wounds and diving deep into the despair of emotional and physical pain.

“Life isn’t always a fairy tale and you can end up trapped in a very unhealthy mindset.” explains frontman Kaya Tarsus.

“I wrote the lyrics when I was going through a bad time and it felt like I was in a nightmare. It’s a very intense and emotional song, so we really wanted all of this to come out in the video. We wanted people to feel uncomfortable, almost as if they are watching a horror movie.”

Blood Youth warm up for this weekend’s Reading & Leeds festival appearances with an intimate show at London’s The Black Heart tonight – a handful of tickets will be available at the door.

In October they head out on the road with Japanese dance-metal mob CROSSFAITH. Catch them at the following shows:

13 BRISTOL Marble Factory
15 GLASGOW Garage
17 MANCHESTER Manchester Academy 2
19 LONDON Electric Ballroom
