Monstrous black/doom/punk chimaera MANTAR have released the first single off of the band’s new album, ‘The Modern Art Of Setting Ablaze’, which is set to be unleashed on August 24 2018 via Nuclear Blast.
Stated singer/guitarist Hanno: “We decided to keep the video simple. Set up, play, destroy – pretty much exactly what we do all the time anyway. The song itself is a hard-line in your face kinda thing, so we thought we’d just show the band playing to point out our strengths. Some people claim that we turn into quite ugly animals while performing, so we decided to feature this flattering accusation. Enjoy!”
The album (as well as accompanying merchandise) is now available for pre-order in various formats including Limited Edition Digipack CD and coloured vinyl: http://nblast.de/MantarAblaze
‘The Modern Art Of Setting Ablaze’ is a title in-keeping with MANTAR’s symbolic obsession with fire on albums previous, this time disavowing mankind‘s tendency to blindly follow those that would lead us into oblivion. This isn‘t necessarily a political statement; more a morbid fascination with current smouldering tensions that threaten to set the minds of the masses on fire.
The band is currently on the road, playing select club shows as well as Europe’s biggest festivals.
