Manchester Pop-Punks Fight For Friday have released their bouncy new EP ‘Someone You Could Trust’. Available digitally (here) and physically (here), the five-tracker takes its title from a beloved The Wonder Year’s song, with vocalist/guitarist Seb Harper revealing: “It is relevant in the context of the EP and the message we are trying to convey: the effect that other people can have on someone’s happiness, health, and life experience.” Appearing on the EP, the band recently released a video for single ‘Target Practicehere, with  Harper commenting: “It’s the most intense and serious song that we’ve ever written. It’s about how people when they see you doing better than them, try to drag you down. As the song is intense and dark, we decided to film it in my living room as a place to relax, it contrasts with that vibe.

Fight For Friday is completed by Lloyd Scott-McCullough on Lead Guitar, Sol Barrow on Bass and Matthew Grosvenor on Drums. It is their first band, beginning life as an extra-curricular school activity at the tender age of 14 and seeing them pick a name which “sounded pretty cool. Not so much anymore.” Now seeing the eldest member turn 20, they find themselves in the position of “having spent four years experimenting and undergoing a line-up change. We’ve achieved more than we’d initially hoped – playing at huge venues; releasing our first EP and touring the UK twice. The best thing about this band is the natural bond and growth that we have. We are nothing more than a high school band that didn’t stop, carrying on to get to the stage that we are now. It wasn’t the quickest journey but it definitely been the most fun.”
