About five years and a half after the release of their acclaimed second album album ‘Dead Wahines And Tsunamis’ (2012), Swiss Stoner-Rockers Feuerzeug are back in the business with a brand new full-length effort planned for a physical/digital release this fall through their own record label Rough Rock Records.

Feuerzeug celebrates its 10 years of existence in 2017. The Swiss quartet was born in 2007 following the reshuffle of several Power Grunge trios conducted since David Denega’s adolescence. Wanting to weigh down the overall band sound, he meets at a guitar shop’s corner Esteban von Wolfsburg. The riff machine works directly between the two new fellows. Thanks to wider influences, a sound and compositions typically Stoner come naturally to complete their new repertoire. In 2008 they released their first album “Drive Fast and Crash” and the critics of the alternative community are enthusiastic and appreciate the very direct side of their style.

The band goes on the roads and has the opportunity to play in Switzerland, Spain, Italy, and Belgium. Following these good experiences the decision is made to start a second album. The style is refined and compositions more lengthy and conceptual emerge. Funky grooves are integrated and long passages exploring Doom sounds are retained. Terry Pinhard is adopted as a new bass player and his subtle music approach makes all the difference.

In May 2012 they finally released “Dead Wahines and Tsunamis” a gigantic album of 72 minutes separated in 2 acts and named by a bunch of critics as best album of the year 2012 above big names as Color Haze, Wo Fat and Orange Gobelin.
Back in 2017 Feuerzeug heads down in a third album. New Line-up with Baptiste D. on the drums, new label Rugh Rock Records and many news still to come. The group is working for the third time with his “shadow weapon” Raphael Bovey who collaborates with groups such as Gojira or Kruger.
