We sat down with Birmingham doom band Kroh and asked them a few questions before the New Year Celebrations begin. Here’s what they had to say…
How did the band form?
Originally formed in 2011 as a studio based project by our guitarist Paul Kenney, picked up again in 2015 with a new singer as a live band with new material.
Whats been the highlight of the bands career so far?
Playing Bloodstock festival was amazing
What festival would you love to headling in the future?
Roadburn, Desertfest, Hellfest would be amazing to play
What bands are you digging at the moment?
Monolord, Darkher, Satyricon
What plans have you got for 2018?
More gigs, more recording…
Do any of the band have any weird rituals before going on stage?
Nope. Not really. Just tune up and play
Whats the biggest inspiration as an individual and as a band?
I think it’s amazing that you can write songs from nothing but imagination and other people like them.
Whats your favouirte venue to play and why?
I really like playing the Flapper in Birmingham, but sadly it’s being knocked down soon.
What album is the one album you listen to at least once a week?
Satyricon – “Deep Calleth Upon Deep” , Has been on repeat since it came out.
